A medal coin issued by the Provincial Department of the Upper Silesian Province in Raciborz (Pronvinzialausschuss der Provinz Oberschlesien). The coin was mainly for propaganda purposes. "On its obverse we see the date 1921 indicated by a hand at the top, with the legend at the bottom: Oberschlesiens Dank (Upper Silesian Thanks). The reverse depicts an allegorical figure of a woman with children huddled around her. The woman symbolizes Germany, the children symbolize the Upper Silesian people. The rim bears the inscription: Dem wer uns trennt vom Deutschen Herd bleibt Schmach, ist keiner Liebe wert (To him who spurns us from the hearth of home, shame remains, he is not worthy of love)." / Lesiuk,Kujat - "Replacement money in Silesia from 1914 to 1924".
