Obverse: Portrait of Victor Tesch, facing left, in a circle.
Inscription: “A M. VICTOR TESCH, LE LUXEMBOURG RECONNAISSANT” (To Victor Tesch, grateful Luxembourg) Signature: “LEOPOLD WIENER”
Reverse: The locomotive “Le Luxembourg” traveling to the right. At the bottom: two cornucopias, between which is a cartouche with the province's coat of arms.
Inscription: “INAUGURATION OF THE LUXEMBOURG RAILWAY / OCTOBER 27, 1858.”
Kokyo Bunchin, borrow its design from the ,,Cho-ju-ka Hai-kyo", which is a bronze mirror with birds, beasts and flowers engraved on the back of it. It is preserved in the Shoso-in in Nara, as one of the treasures from an ancient emperor.
Silver and iron as well as copper were used for making mirrors during the Nara Period, 710 to 784. ,,The Cho-ju-ka hai-kyo" ia a masterpiece demonstrating the high quality of metalwork technology of the period.
