Adolf Eustachy Chybiński (born April 29, 1880 in Cracow, died October 31, 1952 in Poznań) - Polish musicologist, music historian, professor at the University of Lviv and Poznań. His scholarly work included the history of Polish Renaissance and Baroque music and musical ethnography. He initiated the study of Polish musical folklore and the collection of folk songs; he especially devoted much attention to highland music. He presented his own concept of systematics of Polish folk melodies, proposing a basic division into dance, lyrical and religious melodies, and only within these groups more detailed criteria. He published a collection of lesser-known folk melodies and songs called Śpiewnik krajoznawczy - od Tatr do Bałtyku (1951), participated in the editorial work on the work Analysis and Explanation of the Complete Works of Fryderyk Chopin
