Sobocinski's medals are generally massive, adapted in form to the subject. Also in the case of this artist, as in the case of other sculptors working with medals, one can see a direct link with monumental sculpture. Thickly chiseled silhouettes emerging from a "ragged" background, an escape from detail in favor of compact, stocky masses, unevenly, as if hurriedly cut lettering (this medal is an example). All this contributes to the "roughness" of Sobocinski's medallic works, which we can also see in his plaques. This style, very much in line with military themes in particular, dominates most of the artist's medals, and we are familiar with his other works.
