On the band “Anchor” - symbol of the resistance movement - Poland Fighting, on the emblems date 1.VIII.1944 - date of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. On the reverse side the inscription “To the Warsaw Insurgents”. Ribbon in the colors of Virtuti Militari and white and red stripe in the middle.
Warsaw Insurgent Cross was established by an act of July 3, 1981 as a tribute and dedication to the soldiers who fought during the Warsaw Uprising.
