Quantity

Kokyo Bunchin, borrow its design from the ,,Cho-ju-ka Hai-kyo", which is a bronze mirror with birds, beasts and flowers engraved on the back of it. It is preserved in the Shoso-in in Nara, as one of the treasures from an ancient emperor.
Silver and iron as well as copper were used for making mirrors during the Nara Period, 710 to 784. ,,The Cho-ju-ka hai-kyo" ia a masterpiece demonstrating the high quality of metalwork technology of the period.
