Poland, PRL (1952-1989). Medal 1971, For Merits to Theatrical Culture, Theatrical Culture Society, General Board, cast Bronze 75 mm, weight 110.1 g., Condition aUNC, original case
The Society for Theatrical Culture is a link in the history of the association, whose existence began with the establishment of the Union of Peasant Theaters and Choirs in 1907 in Lviv, and in the reborn Republic - the Union of Folk Theaters in 1919 in Warsaw. After World War II, the association's activities were resumed in the People's Theater and Music Society of the Republic, established in 1946 and liquidated in 1948. Reactivated in 1957, the organization took the name of the Union of Folk Theaters and Choirs, which it changed to the Union of Amateur Theaters in 1962 and to the Society for Theater Culture in 1971.
The Theater Culture Society is the legal heir and continuator of the activities of its predecessors.
