For the first time in numismatic history, the book of all Swedish silver and copper coins with valuation prices is published. The title is printed in colour on a total of over 2000 pages (two volumes) and catalogues all Swedish coins from the Viking Age, the Middle Ages and up to the present, coins minted and issued in Sweden`s possessions (Germany & the Baltic States) and Hesse-Kassel during the time of Frederick I (1730-1751), plus a selection of royal as well as personal medals. By bringing together five areas of collecting in a single catalogue, the picture of Swedish numismatics becomes clear.
SVERIGES MYNTBOK 995-2022 contains statistics on known specimens, i.e. rarity designations based on a review of several thousand auction catalogues over the last 50 years.
The valuation prices in the catalogue are based on achieved sales prices from auctions in Sweden and the rest of the world.
